VGA Collective was founded by Joseph Ward (Joey), a gay male entrepreneur with a background in content creation, social media management, and virtual assistance. The business started as a way to combine Joey’s talents in digital strategy with his passion for helping others, particularly those from marginalized communities, navigate online spaces more effectively.
Initially offering freelance content creation and social media support, VGA Collective quickly expanded into full-service packages—including branding, website development, administrative support, and digital marketing. As demand grew, Joey refined his offerings into clear, affordable packages targeting overwhelmed young professionals, LGBT-owned businesses, local organizations, and nightlife venues.
With our signature “all-in-one social media startup and branding” packages, VGA Collective became known for helping clients launch from scratch and gain traction—especially on Instagram. Joey also began working with churches, bars, and performers to create content that reflects their mission and energizes their audience.
Today, VGA Collective continues to grow as a queer-led, inclusive service provider focused on authentic storytelling, strategic visibility, and community-driven digital success.
